In The Bellows is a new event series set in the historic Sandfields Pumping Station in Lichfield. A collaboration by Kikimora Records and Lichfield Arts, the programme explores the imaginative spaces between folk, jazz, electronic and ambient music.
Reverberant high ceilings and 1800’s industrial architecture form a cinematic backdrop to two innovative acts from across the UK; Remorae, a spellbinding folk collective and Wildforms, who creates music from nature.

Remorae (formerly Folkatron Sessions) are a collective of folk, jazz and electronic musicians from the UK and France who bonded over a love of ‘genre-bending’ [Folk Radio UK] folk music. Their ‘unique soundscape’ [Songlines Mag] refracts trad folk through the lens of experimental and ambient electronica. An intricate, atmospheric blend of electronics, strings, guitar and vocals.

In the cluster of organic and synthetic sound dwells Wildforms, the electronic-music apparition of musician Dan Cippico. Launching in early 2021 with the support from Grand Union gallery, Birmingham, Wildforms’ sound is a murmuration of mutated nature and object recordings, coarse percussion, and obscure melodic materials.
